John Namisnak's Pantera

I am new to AZPOCA in 2005 along with being a new owner of FSTKITY a red 1971 non push-button Pantera #2098. I joined the club to get to know more about the car that has given me a twinkle in my eye since I was 13. I had also hoped to get a line on a local car to purchase versus an out of state car. I was very lucky I found a car locally that had some restoration already preformed on it.

Also I am a very lucky man since my wife gave me the green light to go ahead and get my dream car! For Trish she gave up her remodel of the kitchen and other parts of the house to give me the chance to own a Pantera! So I am sort of driving her kitchen on 4 wheels!

I am the 4th owner and the 1st and 2nd owners of the car lived in CA for years so the car has either been a CA or AZ car. Many thanks have to go out to "COZ" - Jim Cozzolino the club's past Vice President in helping me grow and learn about the Pantera and the whole line of Detomaso. His help and invaluable knowledge along with many of his contacts have helped update FSTKITY even more since I have taken ownership.

It is always great to also learn side by side working on another person's car and use it as a learning tool. Jim's GT5 has slight differences from my 1971 Red #2098 and this helped expand my knowledge curve with work on both cars.

My other hobbies include collecting vintage wines with a current collection of 1500 bottles + that span from 1893 to 2003 - with a major focus on French Bordeaux's, French Sauternes & Vintage Ports. Lastly I collect Trade Dollars and I am currently listed on www.pcgs.com with the #1 Proof Trade Dollar collection.

With 2006 already here I look forward to further improving FSTKITY with many mechanical improvements along with interior upgrades as time and money permits!
