Like many of the Pantera owners out there, I had loved Pantera's since I was in high school, and had wanted one since the first time I saw one in 1971. My love for the Pantera has never wavered, despite having friends with just about every car imaginable, I never wanted any car more than I wanted a Pantera. Finally I talked with my wife Wendy and she agreed with me that it was time to find a Pantera for us to enjoy. This is my third year as a Pantera owner. In fact, at the moment I have two in my garage, yes my dream came true!

My first Pantera, was a 1972 Pre-L #2908, I purchased from Matt Merritt in Burbank, California. This was a really well sorted out car, nice body (no rust or major accidents), and many of modifications that I wanted in a car. The car was "Grabber Blue", and I remember when I went to buy it, I had every intention of painting it right away (probably maroon). But when I saw the car in person, I fell in love with the blue (after all everyone has a red or white car). I have shown the car in shows, raced the car in track events, and driven the car in club runs. I have never been disappointed with the Pantera!

Earlier this year Dave Adler had been trying to buy my car from me for another gentleman who knew the car and wanted it. For two months he had made offers (good offers), but I had turned him down, and finally told Dave that I would never sell my blue car. About three weeks later I was looking on the Internet and found a Pantera that I just had to have. Guess who called Dave to see if he was still wanting to buy my Pantera (the one I was never going to sell). Naturally the gentleman had already bought another car, so I did what anyone would have done and bought the new car anyway.

The new car is also a 1972 Pre-L #2388, but it is a Hall Super Pantera #20 with about 3000 miles on the odometer. And guess what color the car is? That's right the ever so rare, red! So now I am starting to have all the kinks worked out of a car that has mostly sat in garages for many years. I am hoping to sell the blue car soon, but what a feeling to walk out in the garage and see two Pantera's!
